Burnt Offerings: Pandemic Creations by Bob Witte

SG1311 is pleased to present an exhibition of works by local artist Bob Witte.  Bob, a nationally recognized and accomplished watercolor painter, demonstrates his mastery of charcoal drawing using traditional and non-traditional techniques and materials.  Making use of  time spent at home during the pandemic, Bob explored the creative possibilities of portraiture in charcoal and mixed media, producing a truly unique and inspiring body of work that captures the likenesses of friends, family, well-known personalities, historical figures and animals.  Of particular note are the cornerstone pieces of the exhibition created with a unique time-intensive sanding technique.   A special book featuring works in the exhibition is available for purchase.

Showing Oct 22 - Dec 15 at the gallery located at 1311 Market Street, La Crosse, WI 54601
